Polished plaster, often called Venetian plaster, is a decorative lime or marble-dust based finish applied in several thin layers and burnished between coats with a steel trowel. The result is a smooth, depth-filled surface that catches the light like polished stone, without the weight or cost of the real thing.
This is high-ticket, specialist work, and it shows in the result: a genuine feature wall that becomes the focal point of a living room, hallway, or bathroom. Colour and finish can be tuned from a soft matte to a high-gloss, glass-like sheen, and the layered application gives real depth rather than a flat painted look.
Russ has applied polished plaster across bathrooms, feature walls, and full rooms throughout Kent and East Sussex. It is one of a small number of genuinely specialist finishes offered locally, alongside Tadelakt and microcement.
